My friend Cathy and I went down to Glastonbury for a 2 night stay at Chalice Well Lodge, which we had to ourselves which was lovely. We had a coffee stop at Marlborough on the way down, and lunch at the Abbey Tea Rooms and did some shopping. In the evening we had fish and chips at Knights, and an evening walk round the gardens.
Saturday was stormy with lots of heavy showers. I had a morning walk round the gardens then we went to Wells for the day, It was so wet when we got back to the car to go back to Glastonbury that we had to wait for it to pass. We had a late lunch and did some shopping and went to Knights again fr supper and had another night walk in the gardens
On Sunday we had a leisurely start with a walk round the gardens. Then we went into town and had a wander round the Abbey ruins and lunch in the Abbey tea room, a tea stop at Chippenham, and got home about 5.
I was not in a spiritual headspace on this visit as my mum had died in August 2017. She had been in care with dementia for over 4 years and was nearly 91, and she passed very peacefully, deeply asleep.
