Sat 29th Oct 2011, visit 72

Yesterday I went down to Glastonbury for the day as there was a faery fayre on (and ball in the evening too though I didn't stay for that). It was fab :)) I got to meet the lovely Jasmine Becket-Griffith who I know via LJ and I bought some lovely things, many for yule presents. I bought some cards, a gorgeous green leather leafy wrist band, and a purple pixie waistcoat for myself.

Then I had a wander round the shops and got more yule presents, a book I had been hoping to find, and a gorgeous silver bangle with faery stars on it.

Then I grabbed some lunch from Burns the Bread, and headed up to the Chalice well for a long wander. I ate lunch sat by the vesica pool, just watching the water flow. The apple tree got a hug. Then I popped into the White Spring which isn't open very often and wow. It now has a huge round pool which the water flows into, plus water flows in the floor, and shrines. Someone was piping in one of the shrines, it was all lit by candles and it was amazing.

Then I headed back into town, finished my shopping (Christmas.. all under control this year!) and had a yummy mochachino in Heapheys. Then as I had done all I wanted and a bus was there, I headed off home half an hour earlier than planned.

Mon/Tue 8/9 August 2011, visit 71

Overnight stay with a couple of friends who were over here. I joined them in Glastonbury, and we stayed at the Chalice well, watched the sun set from the tor, spent a lot of time in the gardens and did some shopping.
